Director of the Agricultural Institute of the Republic of Srpska prof. Dr. Vojislav Trkulja and Director of the Banja Luka Brewery Nicholas Penny signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agricultural Institute of the Republic of Srpska - Banja Luka and Banja Luka Brewery on December 12, 2013.

This year, Banja Luka Brewery has entered into a new technological process of brewing with domestic varieties of barley Osiris created in the Department of grain crops, Agricultural Institute of the Republic of Srpska - Banja Luka. A large number of laboratory and production tests conducted in Banja Luka Brewers confirmed that the technological characteristics of the raw material, which is obtained from BL barley variety, fullfils the high technology requirements of Banja Luka Brewery and thus enables the replacement of so far used imported raw materials with domestic. This opens up the possibility of replacing significant amounts of imported barley with domestic barley produced in our country.

The official signing of the contract at the Agricultural Institute of the Republic of Srpska - Banja Luka was attended by numerous representatives of the media.
